ABOUT HAKEEM'S SPACE
A Safe Space for Our Youth.
It would be hard to tell you or talk about Hakeem’s space before I tell you about our amazing son Hakeem.
Hakeem’s Space started in July, 2020 as a feeding program, a few months after the tragic loss of our only beloved son Hakeem Nzimbi Aquil. Hakeem passed away on January 4th, 2020. He was only 21 years old. He succumbed to his struggle with Mental illness.
“To create a world where mental health is universally understood, accepted, and prioritized, fostering a culture of empathy, support, and resilience.”
Mission:
“Our mission is to raise awareness about mental health, eliminate stigma, and empower individuals to prioritize their mental well-being. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels supported, understood, and encouraged to seek help when needed.”
